Joint Law-Natural Resources Science and Management Degree Program

The College’s Natural Resources Science & Management program has teamed up with the University of Minnesota Law School to offer a new multidisciplinary degree program for M.S. and Ph.D. seeking students. The program is designed to allow students to simultaneously earn a degree in law and a graduate with a degree in natural resource science and management.

The program requires that students spend one year exclusively taking courses required by the Law School J.D. program and one year exclusively taking courses required by the Natural Resource Science and Management program. Students will take classes from both programs in remaining semesters.

For the M.S. degree in Natural Resources Science and Management component, students can choose from seven study tracks and choose the Plan A or B option. Read more about the JD/MS in Natural Resources Science and Management program.

The J.D./M.S. or Ph.D. in Natural Resources Science and Management degree program is one of thirteen programs offered through the Law School’s Joint Degree Program in Law, Health & the Life Sciences. Other University of Minnesota programs that have linked with the Joint Degree Program to create an interdisciplinary program include Conservation Biology, Environmental Health, and Ecology, Evolution and Behavior.
