Ph.D. 2013, University of Minnesota, Natural Resources Science and Management and Water Resources Science
M.S. 2009, University of Minnesota, Soil Science and Gegraphical Information Science
Areas of Expertise
Remote sensing, GIS, and applications of geospatial analyses in forest and water resources
Areas of Interest
My research focuses on forest disturbance mapping and watershed scale analyses of changes in forest cover, the use of best management practices, and the connections between forests and water on the landscape. I study the relative risks of forest management to water quality and how best to model, communicate, and address the implications for future management and policy decisions.
